2026: an interesting and dynamic art year.

I was without a studio all spring, having left the Eldorado Springs Art Center in October of 2025.

In April I was invited to join Sweetbird Jewelry, which had moved from the Eldorado Springs Art Center into what ended up being a temporary situation at 1776       Pearl St. in Boulder, next to the Laughing Goat. Besides paying ‘rent’ for this opportunity, I produced – for free –  the art you see at the end of this photo gallery –  sandwich board paintings, posters for the windows, and a mural. I helped set up the all the displays in the store and assisted Dona Laurita, who produced a grand art show on the premises.

In May the landlord increased the rent, leading to a crisis for Sweetbird Jewelry, who could not cover it.  I moved into my own studio in the NOBO art district behind Moxie Coffee.
